I was really excited when Jenn Davy-Day asked Wilderness Bride to join her creative styled shoot in the heart of Manchester. We’ve worked with Jenn previously and love her photography style. There was a mood board, we loved it immediately and we selected some styles that would suit both the theme of the shoot and the model herself.

One main draw to this styled shoot was Manchester Art Gallery, somewhere I love and treasure and visit often. Creativity and a calming space who could ask for more? One of my special creative hubs around Manchester city center, when in need of inspiration this is one place that beckons. Not forgetting the painting: Hylas and the Nymphs by John William Waterhouse. One of my all-time favorites and the inspiration behind Wilderness Brides ‘Siren’ collection. It really was an extra special treat to photograph the dresses in front of the painting that inspired them.

There are moments in life as a designer/artist, where creatively you feel in awe. It’s overwhelming and a little emotional, tears welled up, I had to explain to the team why I fell silent, speechless at the serendipitous moment where inspiration meets creation. Its like when people get incredibly emotional when they meet their celebrity heroes and people that they admire. My friend met Peter Andre in a restaurant once, I was there, she cried- a lot! I guess this is my version of meeting Peter Andre over afternoon tea at the Radisson Blu?!

I’m just saying an art gallery wedding is super cool, and with such a beautiful space using the right team of bridal suppliers you could easily create something special. A Seriously beautiful venue in a seriously cool city, so elegant and chic. Certainly, one of our venue recommendations for UK Northwest.

As an extra bonus that I wasn’t expecting Jenn edited a black and white collection of images that are moody, melancholy and slightly muse-like. I just love Jenn’s creative take on bridal and even more, we love what followed…. Jenn bought her wedding dress from Wilderness Bride!

One good turn deserves another...
