What About the Groom?
A Groom’s Style Guide for Timeless, Effortless Looks

It’s a question I get all the time: “What about the groom?”

Bridalwear may take centre stage, but grooms deserve just as much consideration—especially when you’re curating a wedding with intentional style and heartfelt detail. Whether I’m planning a styled shoot or chatting with a real couple, my approach to groom’s style is always the same: thoughtful, unfussy, and true to the couple’s vibe.

Tailored or High Street?

When it comes to sourcing menswear for shoots, timing doesn’t always allow for bespoke tailoring, so I often head to the high street. With the right eye and a little creativity, you can style a beautifully polished look without the wait (or the price tag).

In one favourite shoot, I dressed William in a high street suit and swapped the jacket for a vintage Fair Isle jumper. The result? Relaxed, charming, and effortlessly cool. Just the look we wanted for a wintery shoot with warmth and character.

Accessories Make the Look

Incredible ties, pocket squares, and cufflinks can be found on Etsy, where you’ll support independent designers and discover something truly unique. For something special, Liberty London and Selfridges carry elegant collections that blend heritage with style.

Top Tip:
Department stores often offer men's styling appointments—an excellent option for grooms who aren't too keen on shopping. A stylist can help pull together a full look in one visit, taking the pressure off.
