Wilderness Bride in Edinburgh: A Romantic City Photoshoot

We returned to Edinburgh for our second Wilderness Bride pop-up in Edinburgh city, and it reminded us once again why we love working there so much. Edinburgh has its stone architecture, winding streets and historic atmosphere which provide the perfect setting for our gowns.

Our pop-up was hosted by the wonderful team at Away Industries, who welcomed us so warmly for the three days. It was a beautiful opportunity to meet brides in the city, introduce them to the gowns in person, and continue building our connection with Scotland’s creative and bridal community. While we were there we also organised a small editorial photoshoot around the city. I collaborated with Loraine Ross and our model Ellie to capture a series of relaxed yet elegant images that reflected the spirit of Wilderness Bride within the dramatic setting of Edinbugh.

I styled Ellie in the Lilith dress and Fox top, there is a subtle Victorian influence in the fox top, something I have always loved, and can be seen particularly in the delicate lace collar. To keep the styling light, I paired the dress with a plain veil, this allowed the shape and detail of the gown to speak for itself while still giving that soft bridal movement as Ellie walked through the city streets.

Edinburgh provided the most incredible backdrop. We moved through different corners of the city capturing moments against historic stone and sweepng staircases. We also captured more of the dress collection indoors inside Away Industries. I styled the Honour dress in blush, the Jamie dress and the beuatiful Fauna dress in leaf jacquard. This small photoshoot perfectly captuers the spirit of Wilderness Bride: romantic, slightly nostalgic, and deeply connected to place.

Edinburgh continues to be a city that inspires us. The brides, the creativity, and the atmosphere make it a place we always look forward to returning to. After such a wonderful visit, we already know we will be back again soon.
